Miss Shauna is dedicated to inspiring dancers, teachers, dance parents, and those in the business of dance, to create long, healthy, and joyful journeys through their connection to the arts.
Miss Shauna grew up in elite gymnastics, competing until age 18, where she took her first ballet class at age 10 to improve her gymnastics performance. Upon retiring from gymnastics, she focused on dance and enjoyed spending her university years with the University of Winnipeg Dance Team, before spending five seasons dancing professionally in the CFL with the Blue Lighting Dance Team. As a dancer, she’s trained in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and Acro, and her performance background includes countless performances with the CFL Blue Bombers Dance Team, as well as exciting live performances at multiple NBA 3 on 3 events, and opportunities to perform with artists like Nelly Furtado and the Black Eyed Peas.
Miss Shauna has over 25 years of experience teaching movement, including gymnastics, dance, and yoga. She hold a degree in Kinesiology, diploma in communications, and received her dance adjudicator certification through the Canadian Dance Leadership Institute.
As a dance studio owner, teacher, choreographer, and adjudicator, she’s dedicated her career to connecting with dancers of all ages, helping them expand their creativity, build confidence, explore their talent, and become strong and confident members of their communities.
